You always see the price, the currency and the billing frequency before you pay. No open-ended bills, no charge you did not approve, and nothing recurring unless you subscribed to it.

What we sell, and how each is billed

Four lines of business, four billing models. Consulting is the only one you can buy today — the rest are in development and nothing is being billed for them.

Consulting engagements

Quoted per engagement · embedded teams from $4,200/mo

Priced individually after scoping, then invoiced against the milestones in an accepted Statement of Work. Project work is one-time; retainers and embedded teams are billed monthly until you end them on notice.

Not yet on sale. At launch, plan pricing will be shown on each product's own site before you enter card details, free trials will convert on a date disclosed in advance, and you will be able to cancel from inside the product.

One-time charge

Not yet on sale. At launch, each will be priced at checkout and delivered electronically straight away — a single charge with nothing recurring, refundable within 14 days on the conditions in the refund policy.

App store pricing

Not yet published for sale. At launch, paid downloads and in-app purchases will be priced, billed and refunded by Apple or Google under their terms. Any web subscription sold alongside an app would be billed by us as a subscription.

Some things recur, and only if you asked for them. Project engagements and digital products are one-time charges. Retainers and embedded teams are billed monthly in advance until you end them on notice, and software subscriptions renew until cancelled. In every case the price, the interval and the first charge date are agreed in writing before you are billed, and you can stop it yourself. Nothing else repeats.

How consulting pricing works

Every engagement moves through the same four steps. You know the exact figure before step four.

    Free

    A 30-minute call to understand the outcome you need, the systems and data involved, and whether we are the right partner. No cost, no obligation, no invoice.

  2. 02

    Scoping engagement

    Fixed price, quoted up front

    For larger or less-defined work we run a short paid scoping engagement: technical assessment, solution design and a delivery plan. The price is agreed in writing before it starts, and it ends in a fixed-price proposal for the build.

  3. 03

    Written proposal or SOW

    Free

    You receive a Statement of Work listing scope, deliverables, milestones, assumptions, timeline and the exact price. Nothing is chargeable until you accept it in writing.

  4. 04

    Delivery and invoicing

    As set out in your SOW

    We invoice against the schedule in the SOW — a deposit to begin, then milestones, or monthly for retainers. Every invoice maps line by line to work you approved.

AI strategy & readiness

Fixed price per engagement

A time-boxed assessment of where AI will actually move the needle for you, what your data and systems can support, and what it will take to get to production.

  • Deliverable is a written roadmap and a fixed-price build proposal

Build engagements

Fixed price per milestone

Designing and shipping the system itself — ML and LLM applications, data platforms, automation, and the production software around them.

  • Scoped and priced milestone by milestone, so cost tracks delivered value
  • Deposit to begin, then invoiced as each milestone is accepted
  • Change requests are quoted and approved in writing before any extra work

Embedded teams

$3,000 – $10,000 per engineer, per month

Senior engineers embedded in your team for a quarter or more, with a Zulaiy tech lead accountable for what ships. You set the priorities; we own delivery quality and continuity.

  • Published bands by discipline; the smallest pod is about $4,200 per month
  • Invoiced monthly in advance, with a 3-month minimum term
  • Renews monthly until you cancel it on 30 days notice — see the refund policy

Retainers & support

Fixed monthly fee

Ongoing capacity for systems in production — MLOps, monitoring, iteration and a senior team on hand.

  • A set monthly fee for an agreed allocation of senior engineering time
  • Invoiced monthly in advance, no minimum term beyond your SOW
  • Cancel any time with 30 days notice — see the refund policy

Billing & payment terms

The commercial terms that apply across every line. Rows covering subscriptions, trials and app store purchases describe how those products will be billed once they launch — none of them is on sale today.

Currency
All fees are quoted, invoiced and charged in US Dollars (USD).
Payment terms
Invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date unless your SOW states otherwise.
Deposit
Most engagements begin with a deposit, typically 30–50% of the first milestone. The exact figure is stated in your proposal before you commit.
Billing frequency
Projects are invoiced per milestone. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance. Nothing recurs unless your SOW says it does.
Payment methods
Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and bank transfer, processed securely by Stripe. Bank details, where used, appear on the invoice itself.
Card storage
We never see or store your card details. Stripe handles them directly under PCI-DSS.
Automatic renewal
Subscriptions and retainers renew automatically until cancelled; consulting projects and digital products never do. Every renewal produces an emailed receipt, and annual subscriptions get a reminder 30 days beforehand. There are no silent charges.
Free trials
Where a product offers a trial, we show the trial length, the exact first-charge date and the price before you enter card details, and email a reminder before it converts. Cancel during the trial and you are never charged.
Cancelling a subscription
Self-serve from inside the product at any time — no phone call, no email, no retention process. Access runs to the end of the period you paid for.
Subscription price changes
Notified by email at least 30 days ahead and applied only from your next renewal. A period you already paid for is never repriced.
App store purchases
Paid downloads and in-app purchases are priced, billed and refunded by Apple or Google under their own terms. Manage those subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play settings.
Taxes
Prices exclude sales tax, VAT, GST and withholding tax. Any tax applicable in your jurisdiction is added to the invoice or accounted for as the law requires.
Third-party costs
Cloud infrastructure, model API usage and software licences bought on your behalf are passed through at cost and itemised separately.
Late payment
Undisputed invoices more than 15 days overdue may accrue 1.5% monthly interest. We give 7 days written notice before pausing any work.

Refunds. You pay for work delivered. Anything prepaid for work not yet delivered is refunded to your original payment method, normally within 10 business days of an agreed reconciliation. Read the full Refund & Cancellation Policy, or the Terms of Service these sit under.

Pricing questions

Why are consulting prices not listed on this page?
Most of them are bespoke rather than packaged, so a quote depends on your data, your integrations and the outcome you need — and what is guaranteed is a fixed written price before anything is chargeable. Embedded teams are the exception: because you are buying capacity rather than a scope, the rate bands are published on the embedded teams page, starting at $3,000 per seat per month. Our software subscriptions and digital products will carry listed prices when they launch, shown on each product before you buy.
Will I be charged more than once?
Only if your engagement is a recurring one. Project work is invoiced against milestones you approved and stops when the project does. Retainers and embedded teams are billed monthly in advance and keep billing until you end them on 30 days notice — the monthly fee and the minimum term are stated in your Statement of Work before anything is chargeable. We have no software subscriptions on sale yet; when they launch they will renew until cancelled, disclosed with the price and the billing interval before you enter card details.
What happens when a free trial ends?
No trials are running yet — this is how they will work once subscription products launch. The subscription starts automatically at the price shown when you signed up, and we email a receipt. We tell you the exact charge date before you enter card details and send a reminder before the trial converts. Cancel at any point during the trial from inside the product and you are not charged at all. If a trial converted and you did not intend it, tell us within 14 days and we refund it in full.
How do I cancel a subscription?
No subscriptions are on sale yet. Once they are, you cancel from your account settings inside the product, at any time. No phone call, no email, no retention process. Cancelling stops the next renewal and your access continues to the end of the period you already paid for. If you cannot reach your account, email us and we will cancel it and confirm in writing.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, and the rules differ by product. Consulting: you pay for work delivered and anything prepaid but undelivered comes back. Subscriptions: a 14-day money-back window on your first paid charge, and annual plans refunded pro-rata for unused whole months. Digital products: 14 days if not substantially consumed. App store purchases are refunded by Apple or Google. Full detail is in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Who charges my card?
For anything bought from us on the web — today, consulting invoices — Stripe processes the payment on our behalf and the charge shows as Zulaiy. We never see or store your card details. For purchases made inside a mobile app, Apple or Google charges you directly and the charge appears on your app store receipt.
Do you charge for the first conversation?
No. The discovery call is free and carries no obligation.
Do you work with clients outside Nigeria and the United States?
Yes. We work with customers worldwide and bill in USD, remotely across time zones.
